What Equipment Do You Need To Detail Cars?

Rather than paying for someone to detail your car, you want to do it yourself. That requires equipment. If you are interested in mobile auto detailing in Los Angeles, you are going to need the following:

What Equipment Do You Need To Detail Cars?

Auto Detailing Belt – You want to be organized while detailing your car. These belts can hold a variety of things that you need and you will save yourself the hassle of having to run back and forth.

Applicator and Brushes – These don’t come in one size and that’s perfect for you. You can pick out brushes with varying grades of thickness, so you can use one for cleaning and another to get dirt off your tires. Your detailing collection won’t be complete without these.

Blower and Vacuum – You want to have a dirt- and dust-free car, right? These are two must-haves, to get rid of both. The blower is also great for getting leaves out of certain crevices of the car.

Bucket – Typically you will want to have two large buckets for this work. You don’t want to get any ordinary buckets and fill them up with water, though. There are ones specifically made that have dirt filters in them so that you will have clean water throughout your time washing the car off.

Car Wash Hand Mitts – These are great for washing off your car. They won’t scratch your car’s paint, they are incredibly absorbent, and it’s always fun to hear the sound it makes when you smack the metal of the car to start cleaning.

Drying Tools – A lot of people use microfiber towels to dry their cars, since they are not abrasive and you won’t have to worry about scratching your paint. If you have a few extra dollars, you can get chamois towels, since those are extra absorbent.

Foam Cannon – This adds a very cool aspect to car detailing – you can mutter lines from your favorite gunslinger movies as you use this to cover your car with washing foam. It’s effective and there are also options if you can’t get to running water.

Plastic Razor Blades – These allow you to scrape things off without your worrying about scratching up your paint job, as opposed to steel ones.

Rolling Seat  – You can easily move around the car with this and also stay comfortable while you work.

There are many other things that you can use for your auto detailing, but this is a good starting point for you to get the job done.
